Anyways that after credits scene was really nice and cute and definitely made me go insane (in a good way!) a little

ever woke up with 'pillow marks' on your face? how long do they take to fade away? if you push/grip something against your skin on a place that doesn't normally get toughened by friction and work, the mark can take upwards of 30 minutes to fade and even an hour to vanish completely. the longer the object is there, say the imprint of a wedding band on the left ring finger, the more permanent the pressure mark becomes.

there's even a form of this pressure mark after you die. i've seen it more than once when a corpse is found hung by the neck but the actual cause of death was a different type of strangulation, say a narrower cord than the rope around the neck is. if the narrow cord is left on the throat too long and wrapped too tight, even the further pressure marks from the wider 'hanging rope' won't overlap the 'killing choke' perfectly and cause the first attack to be covered up by the supposed suicidal hanging.

there's another form called pressure lividity. it's the bruising and blood pooling surrounding an object the body was laying on after death. say you kill somebody and leave them lying on... a very rocky riverbank. like, for a few hours while you go establish a quick alibi with somebody in someplace etc. then you go back later and toss the body into the river and it floats away. the corpse washes up on a perfectly soft and sandy part of the river's banks further downstream. the big rocks and pebbles the body was laying on for hours will leave shapes and indentations in the blood pooling against the skin and the ground. the perfectly soft and sandy bank wouldn't leave those kinds of shapes and indentations in the lividity portions of the corpse's skin and tissues. what's even funnier? i read a case where a guy left his 'deader' in the trunk of his car for over a day. laying atop one of his car's old license plates. the raised parts of the plate's numbers left clear pressure lividity marks on the corpse and the killer's ID was easily found out through old car registration records.
